Re: 7 sons in the Wehrmacht
Hello,
He had a sister and his mother became a widow in WWI. Later she married a widower with six sons. All his stepbrothers had been KIA during WWII. Seems he was a man completely without luck. In summer 1946 he was on the zebra crossing in front of the local town hall when a British military truck ran over him. He was dead on the spot. Only his sister remained
Best regards
Torsten
the story reminded me of a guy from Berlin that was quartered in my grandmother's home in Westphalia in 1945/46.Hundi wrote:I wonder if they were more cases liek this.
