Burial of downed allied airmen.

Hello

From a discussion on a Danish forum:

Does there exist an official German order concerning that there shall be no ceremonial burial of downed killed Allied airmen?

Sometime late in the War the cerimoniel changed, so that the killed airmen were buried together with the airplane with not cerimoneiel what so ever. It seems to change around 1943 - 44 - but I have not seen any official document.

I am searching an official German order regarding this?

Any help would be appreciated.

PS: it has not anything to do with Goebbels "Terrorflieger" order regarding lynching of aircrews (I have seen this topic on this forum).

Regards
Kurt

Hello

Thanks - I have seen the quote on that Danish page, but it goes on a book where there is no reference to the excact order.

Unfortunately a dead end there - but we are searching on for the official order :)
