I don't remember any picture showing it.
In case of affirmative answer, I wish to know trademark, model, etc.
Thanks for your replies.

On page 178 of Rochus Misch's autobiography (English edition), he recounts Linge throwing a watch away after they had been captured by the Russians. Linge says "There it goes - the Boss' watch!". Misch isn't sure whether Linge was referring to Hitler's own watch or one he had given Linge. I would imagine Hitler had dozens of the things, probably gifts. Whether he wore one or not, I don't know.

Problem solved (I think). If you look here: http://www.criticalpast.com/video/65675 ... h-officers at 00:10 you will see Hitler pull a watch out of his jacket pocket.

That film clip made me chuckle. :D Did you notice that Hitler takes his own watch out slowly, but the other 2 men look at their watches very quickly? I would guess Hitler said, "What time is it?" & the other men suddenly raced to be the first to give him the time. Not that he needed them to. :)

Found that Traudl Junge (in her book " Until the Final Hour") recounts Hitler used a pocket watch to keep time. He did not wear a wristwatch. On page 43 she writes: "He always had someone tell him the time, even though he had his gold lidded watch in his trouser pocket".

Hallo von Thoma

I'm intrigued by your comment

Could you expand on what Hitler's personality type was? Do you refer to his Myers-Briggs Types Indicator, which I believe is thought to have been INFJ?

Yes, a personality prone to do things out of the ordinary ( Eccentric ).

Another example :

Hitler uses the chinstrap of his visor cap.

You made me laugh....I do wear my watch on the right wrist. Not out of the ordinary.

You forget the times, it was just as popular to wear a pocket watch as to wearing
an wrist watch.

Exactly, it's not about his personality; it's about his generation.

Seems to me like overanalyzing like many post-war psychologists have done.
All I see in the wrist-watch clip is a normal man who pulled out his wristwatch out of his pocket for various possible reasons:
1. Being a pre-1900 born man, he probably wasn't used to wristwatches and used his wrist watch like one would use a classic pocket watch.
2. (more likely): The watch somehow didn't match his uniform or uniform regulations, so he kept it in his pocket.
3. Or it could be that he simply woke up and seeing the wrist watch on his night desk, thought "What the hell...I'll keep it in my pocket to have the time if needed but I dont want to bother wearing it".

Or because he gesticulates so much with his arms when making his speeches he would probably break the fragile mechanism inside a 1930-1945 wristwatch with all that shaking around ;)
