Service Pensions?

#1

Post by headwest » 01 Sep 2016, 20:36

Hi All

i was reading about Joachim Peiper today and it was about his years in France. it said he was living off translating books and his service pension. i had no idea that the soldiers got pensions from the war? i guess i thought since they had lost the war that when they rebuilt the new Gov't would not be paying pensions to soldiers.

Did they do this for all of them? and does anyone knwo the amount one would make?

thanks
