No, it was not possible. The shape of cartridge case is totally different - 75 mm x 714R used with Pak 40 has straight (and narrow) cartridge case, while 75 mm x 495R used in KwK 40 has much wider bottle-neck cartridge case. 75 mm x 495R cartridge case simply would not fit into 75 mm x 714R cartridge chamber.
