This quiz thread is for any land-based construction that is designed to move in some way, onto which someone has place one or more armor plates.

What is main tank type of the three closest tanks? Honor points for naming the variant names.

Nearest one is either T-26 m 1933 or T-26 converted from OT-130?
Second one is T-26 m 1939?
Third one is T-26 m 1931 with two MG turrets?

As far as I can see, the second one is a model 1938 (though I could be wrong) - but overall very well done (and certainly a fitting person to get this one).

According to Puolustusvoimien panssarikalusto, 1980 by Esa Muikku and Kari Kuusela there wasn't a model 1938. There were models 1937 and 1939, in war-time German/Finnish classification both were named T-26C. These models differed by the shape of the frontal turret design, which can't be seen in your pic.

I must think for a while for a new question.

There are quite a few references to a model 1938, including on Andreas Larka's excellent website: http://www.andreaslarka.net/ps164007/ps164007.html

My source claims that also OT-133 was model 1939, but A. Larka says 1938.
Anyhow you are probably right, because the black dot to the right of the swastika might well be the patch plate, where the OT-133's original rear DT-mg was removed.

Well an easy question now...
This picture tells us at least four facts. What, where, which unit and sub-unit(s)?

J-P, Platoon Cammander, 4th Platoon, 8th Company, 2nd Battalion, Panzer regiment 25, 7 PD. Still showing the 1940 divisional sign so it isn't in Russia. The Tank is a Pz 38(t) but I'm too lazy to try and work out the sub-type.

Oh dear, perhaps a clue is needed.

The big round breech looks very French.

But it isn't armoured, at least my silly 194 had a little armour on its chassis.
