Soviet BA 10 armoured car as photographed by a German soldier. All the photographs taken by German soldiers that I have seen of these armoured cars have had their wheels and tyres removed. So who salvaged them? The retreating Soviet Army or the Germans?

Hi John,

to Your question about removing the wheels of the Russian armoured cars BA: the German maintenance technical sergeants did it, because in many motorized units was one or more captured Russian trucks type GAZ AA or AAA. They had the same wheels. So they could get additional spare wheels very easily.

What's the wreck on the left?
My guess the hull of another T-34 (may be)............

One more wreck, it is sometimes easy to forget how small some armoured vehicles were.

A few more e-bay finds. I found these going through e-bay even though I think a couple originate from other sources, the posted one were on e-bay...
