Hi Dirk,

thank You very much for this offer. I can tell You, that I would be interested in identifying the material, trucks, busses and cars. But the second point, to find the exact location where the pictures were taken is out of my interest.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Dirk,

the first truck at the front is for me a Bedford from the W-series. The ambulance on the right could be a Morris-Commercial type CD. I think You are right that the truck at the back is a Bedford type OY. And the truck (maybe a removal van) between is also a Bedford, I assume, from the M-series.
Here the same beachfront scene from a little different angle of view (source: "Britsh Military Trucks in Wehrmacht Service" by Jochen Vollert.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Dirk,

another pic with the same beachfront scene (out of the same book). The caption to this pic: In the centre is a Bedford OL ambulance van.

Best regards

I think the vehicles behind the Morris CD ambulance are ambulances on Ford WOT1 or WOT3 chassis.

Dirk,
Those chassis for vans usually were delivered in chassis-bonnet form and the windshield type apparently depends of the coachbuilder's taste.
Your van probably is based on Bedford WS 30-cwt chassis of mid 30s, like this one:

Hi Dirk,

the truck in the front You asked could be a Bedford type WL 1939. Here on a pic out of the net.
