Luftflotte, notice that this is another railway version, only instead of removing the tyred wheels and replacing them with railway wheels this one has small additional railway wheels.

I've found some images of a very good 6-rad replica being used in Poland, on the website http://www.militarni.pl.
If anyone can translate the polish and identify the owners of the replica I'd really appreciate it, I'd love to know what donor vehicle they based it on.

Unfortunately there are very little info. Replica was shown for the first time in "Battle of the Bzura 2007" meet. Commander (and owner?) is someone called Azymut.ghasp! wrote:I've found some images of a very good 6-rad replica being used in Poland, on the website http://www.militarni.pl.

Hi all,
I've found another pic of a late-war use, but this time not by the Germans. The pic is from July the 26th, 1944, and the location is Pulawy, Poland and the persons in the pic are partisans who captured it.
Regards,
Simon

Hello!
Best regards, Aleks
One of the men seems to be wearing German uniform. Is he a partisan too?Simperator wrote:The pic is from July the 26th, 1944, and the location is Pulawy, Poland and the persons in the pic are partisans who captured it.

Hi Aleks!
I really don't know. But if the inscription of the archive is correct and these people are partisans, then I don't think so. He seems to be quite "relaxed" to be a prisoner of partisans, and why would they let him stay in the turret? I think we can assume that the whole thing is like the uniforms of the Polish partisans in Warsaw in August 1944: in many pics it is very difficult to see any difference between them and Germans because they used their helmets, uniforms, weapons and camo smocks.
Regards,
Simon

Why not? Such deception was quite often practice and rational in such situation when German armour was used.AVV wrote:One of the men seems to be wearing German uniform. Is he a partisan too?
From the partisans point of view no matter if the wear German uniform or nor if captured were executed by Germans anyway.

Other than the guns on the armoured car the only weapons visible are hand grenades in one man's belt , the Grman soldier's belt and the hand of the girl in the turret. Not very well armed Partisans are they ?

As I said before, sometimes the descriptions of the pictures of NAC are not very accurate... So another time or another situation is possible. I just thought it is an interesting picture.
