Shot taking during Citadel operation on Eastern front in july 1943. Does anybody had other photos of this tank?

May be something like El racho - from german verb die rauchen - to smoke. El racho may be means smoker.

Hello
Could it be the russian word Korosho ? It seems to have several meanings or perhaps used as slang.

Well I tried. I looked through three photo books on Kursk, looked through a photo book about Das Reich, and their history book, all without success.

Sorry, but I tried. Better luck from someone else.

No. it's no "karacho". In russian it means "well, good". On big photo I've seen such symbol - ', before racho words. But not understand, what written before ' symbol. Seems like spanish of italianian words.

"Carajo" it´s a spanish word, it´s the place at the top of the mast on the spanish galleons. A very bad and discomfort place to stay, was used like observation post. The english sailors called it "crow nest´s" I mean.
In slang "Vete al carajo", (go to the carajo) the translate is something like "go to a very bad place" it´s a light insult, not very offensive.
Maybe "Karacho" should be the germanized spanish word. The "J" in spanish sounds like the "ch" in the german word "rauchen".
Maybe some panzer crew was in Spain with the "Legión Cóndor".
Or maybe the word is not "Karacho", who knows?

"Karacho" or "Mit Karacho" in is German slang and means something to the effect of "with great force/speed/effect", this is the only explanation that makes sense and I'm certain that's what it reads, I've seen it on other vehicles as well. "El racho" does not make any sense in German and the smoker would be "Der Raucher".

Greetings from Germany
