Hi.

Nice pic with the smoke dischargers, a quite rare thing.

I know the answer but as I haven´t got a new question I don´t participate.

Yours

tom!

Hmmm...as Tom knows that means it's almost certainly Japanese. How about a type 95 Ha Go light tank?

Hi Phil:

Seems to be an F60L or C60L 4X4 Canadian
CMP fitted with either a 20m mm or perhaps a 37mm At weapon.

*smiles* Ahhhhhhh, dear Bill....a soft skin expert without exception. I defer to your nomination of the mount as I am strictly an armour/gun devotee.

So...allowing for the "mount"....No it is not a 20mm or 37mm gun....it IS linked to the "carriage" though (as an aside, this is what makes the Quiz such fun, as it is a "series" production not a one off.... *Waits for a "gun" answer for a winner....

Hi Phil:

Well, maybe 40mm but that is a wild guess also as I am not real good at weapons and only so so at vehicles.

As you know, my collecting interest is more towards the basic vehicles as logistic or people transporters, not weapons platforms. So, maybe this guess is correct.

Bill's right. It's a 2-pdr AT gun - 40mm. ;)

Thank you Sitz:

I should have known about that particular CMP weapon mount but as you know, I tend to stay more with the unarmed versions of those vehicles. I looked in my photo archives of Canadian vehicles and found several examples of just that truck but they did not stick in my memory bank.

According to the rules, I will wait for Phil to verify the final ID, even if it was a weak one.

Hi guys

Apologies but I have not been able to get onto the site for a couple of days. Bill is right it is a British 2pdr (i.e. 40mm) "Portee" produced in limited numbers and seeing action in North Africa. 2 or 3 of this version were captured and used by the Germans.

Over to you Bill.

Phil
