Hi Panzerhab,
You are right. It was the Unternehmen Seelöwe (mid-August 1940). Now the stage is yours!

Hi Panzerhan,
thank You. So I will take the chance to ask the next question. Who can ID the vehicle with the German soldier? (source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).
Regards
Bert

I don't think so, the Renaults didn't have space for a step in front of their wheels, where the man is standing. The Fait 626 did but I'm convinced that I can see a steering wheel there and of course the Fiat was RHD.

Thank you very much for the kind words, Bert. A lot of looking and a bit of luck
A bit of an oddball this time. It is getting ever more difficult to find new items as this thread grows and grows.
What kind of truck and being used by whom.

Good job so far, Alan................
As a tip, it was part of a contingent of vehicles being collected up for repair/reassignment late in the war by a sort of Czech auxiliary unit that as far as I can understand was still under German control.
Since I don't want to be too harsh on these quizzes and since the truck is far from a "mainstream" marque, lets say it is Czech also and see if you can come up with the rest of the answer.
