Thanks Max, I'll now search for something a bit harder for my question.

Of course when I said "harder" I meant the shell of the vehicle in an effort to get away from all those softies.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Christian has been kind enough to divide the quiz into Armored and Non-Armored vehicle threads. The Axis Armored Vehicles quiz can now be found here: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 7&t=210536

Hi Max:
Good to see that a fairly new member is willing to carry on for us old folks that are sort of wearing out.
I believe that your quiz photo is a 1937 Studebaker beute.
Assuming I am correct, it was quite a rare care in Europe at that time.
A photo of a restored example is below.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Absolutely correct, Bill. From what I recall Studebakers were not all that common in the States either, at least compared to the major brands. Very nice cars. It's your move now.
Cheers,
Max

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Bill!
Well, let's see what we have here. Viberti cab + MAN power = Isota-Fraschini D80, most probably ex-civilian CO model pressed into service with some heavy transport detachment (the door sign). Bearing in mind the picture was taken in Ukraine on 30 August 1941, this could be 34o Autoreparto Pesante.
Cheers!

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Ilfil,
I think it is the French Willème DW 12 tank transporter with a COE cabin (cabine avancée). Only 4 of these trucks were built and 1 with a torpedo nose.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Bulleye, protze!
With this COE variant the most interesting for me is that they have had two steering wheels, so I suppose it would be correct to say they were AHD (all hands drive, that's it! ).
The quiz is yours.
