Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Viktor,
I'm not sure about the small wheel but the basic chassis looks like the Stoewer R200 Kfz. 1:

Hello iffig, iffig wrote:Bulgarian name would be: БМВ, I suppose ....
NB: the vehicle marking on the CMP Ford F15 above is that of the British 2nd armoured division ; it was almost captured on April 8 th 1941 and disbanded on May 10 th of the same year. If it can help for a more precise identification?
And, yes, my first thought was Stoewer too, but the small wheel did not match well and I think БМВ (= BMW) is more appropriate
Thanks very much for the info aqnd id on the CMP 15.
Do you have another exemplar of the the Kfz. 1 with the small wheel? That's new to me.
Cheers,
Max

Hello Max!
It is 1 am here and I am going to go to bed,...
But I have a colour profile of a Bulgarian BMW in a Bulgarian book and I shall post it ASAP.
Anyway, I just gave a clue and, it my opinion, you gave the correct answer

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi iffig,
Thanks for your consideration but if it was a BMW and not a Stoewer my answer was incorrect in any case. It's Viktor's call in the end but personally I'd rather attempt to solve these quizzes than to think up a puzzle to challenge the high level of expertise of our colleagues here.

Understood, Alan.Alanmccoubrey wrote:Max, Thanks, yes, I had read the caption which in part is why I posted about the meaningless nature of the Kfz 18 designation, it wasn't a criticism of Iffig, just of the Kfz 18 designation.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hello iffig,
Thanks for posting those very informative drawings. I see there is even a little cutout in the door opening to accomodate the wheel. Also the rear end is angled differently. Yes, now I agree that Viktor's photo is a "БМВ" for sure.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Thank you iffig,
This is a two part question:
1. Name the manufacturer and Type.
2.This truck was actually designed by a different manufacturer. Which was it?
