Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Nicely done Bill, I did not think I would fool you, or, indeed, any of the contributors. It was just how long.
Over to you sir,
Kerry.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Thanks Kerry:
Luckily for me, that range of vehicles has been the subject of a number of quizzes over the years on another Forum I belong to so I had some prior experience with the marque.
For this time, two photos from the same area, same time. All are beute vehicles and all should be the same marque and model/year and all serve the same purpose.
Plesase ID the marque, year, model and task.
Bill

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hello Bill,
Time on my hands. I think that they are 1933 Renault KZ-11 taxis, based on the Vivaquatre chassis,
Kerry.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
A very good job indeed, Kerry:
Not to be picky, but they could also be from 1934 and with the additional designation of G7.
Below is a slightly better photo of a prototypical taxi of this type.
Please carry on my friend.

Thank you Bill,
Here is something less mainstream, the make may be fairly simple, but the models are a nightmare,
Kerry.

Congrats Markus, not at all common in german use, but do you have any idea of the coach builder? Not a deal breaker, you have control, just out of interest?
Thanks for the fast response, over to you,
Kerry.

Thanks Kerry,
From the little I've read, Charlesworth typically bodied the SA tourers.

Indeed, and a beautiful car she is too! Here's a '37 that's appeared in several major Hollywood films http://www.conceptcarz.com/view/photo/1 ... photo.aspx

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hello all!
Just a detail: "G7" was not a designation for a specific car, but the license plate last digits for any taxi belonging to the « Compagnie française des automobiles de place » from its creation in 1905 until WW II (and maybe after, until the 1950 vehicle registration reform).
So Renault KZ 11 was the designation of the Vivaquatre model introduced in 1933 and intended to become a parisian taxi, with a license plate ending with "G 7".
And the famous "Taxi de la Marne" on show in the War History Museum in Paris has a license plate "2862-G 7".

New subject,
Name the car in this exp. eBay.de photo or alternatively the coachbuilder; I'm more certain of the latter.

I have to say first out that I truly have little idea, but the coachwork looks like the streamline designs of Sodomka,

Hi Kerry,
From a country closer to yours than former Czechoslovakia and a firm famous for a construction system whose name belied their bodybuilder heavyweight status.
