Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Bill,
I looked at this thing three times over a week period and kept saying it is GM. Could not square the gas cap and boot with any American GM or Opel. Completely forgot about Vauxhall. Should have looked at a simple reference the first time I saw it.
Now the difficult part is finding a good pic.
It is hot in our neck of the woods now!

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
I can't really tell the difference, but below is an advert from ebay for a 1939 A 600 that I got years ago which looks quite similar.
Obviously a former civilian vehicle, do you recognize the registration plate origin?
Edit: This advert is Dutch BTW.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
The registration plate is a mystery. It appears obscured. Country region code seems covered up to meBill Murray wrote:I can't really tell the difference, but below is an advert from ebay for a 1939 A 600 that I got years ago which looks quite similar.

Excellent Markus - you are correct. I have no concrete info on what model but my source guessed at R1B 50. Not sure if this is even close - if anyone has more info please let me know so I can update my file.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
I believe this is a Ford-Marmon (Marmon Herrington) around 3 ton 4x4 from 1939 supplied to Romania.
