Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
A number of ID possibilities might give us a 1940 Chrysler, maybe a Windsor.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
I was not aware of the Chrysler being in that film.
But, a little bit of looking and I found it.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Yes Bill it is this Chrysler that chased the jeep which Spencer is driving with one arm
i found it one of the best car chasing scenes of all time
and i admit when i first saw this movie in the eighties it tool me hours to determine which make it is

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Here some pictures of the chase and the Jeep Tracy Spencer is driving
I think in the Chrysler it is Ernest Borgnine or maybe Lee Marvin who is driving (my memory slipped here)
Because my film is taken in the eighties from the BBC i ll got to seee him in Black and White this evening
It brings back memories hahaha here the jeep watch for the arm of tracy which plays a one arm veteran in this movie
Boy i love these old movies almost as much as cars

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hey Bill a little bit out of topic
my other best carchases you have to see
is Duel from 1971 from Spielberg NB (Peterbuilt from 1961 chasing a 1970 Dodge Dart all the movie from begin to end)
and nr 1 The big steal from 1949 a cahse with two Buicks
one a 1935 Buick with Robert Mitchum at the wheel and the chasing car is a 1946 Buick Roadmaster driven by Wiliam Bendix
This is my absolute favourite
Sorry guys i m going further on the topic now

Back to the chase, we all agree Bill is correct about the 40 Chrysler. Please take the next turn, Bill.
Cheers,

Indeed I hope Peter wouldn't be angry on us. But at least I managed to type the model correct. :roll:kerryboo wrote:PetREbilt or PetERbilt? Typos all over!

Hi ilfil,
I know, I have, as a one-finger typist, to read, re-read and then edit everything, and still get it wrong!!
