The driver looks sort of Luftwaffey to me.

Hi Max and Markus,
I agree with Markus, the second photo does show a Luftwaffe driver. But, I believe, the fist is of Bulgarian soldiers in the Opel P4. There is, interestingly, a German police officer standing in the background.

Thank you Markus and Kerry,
In any case, surely we can agree that it is the same driver in each photo, no?

Hi Max & Kerry,

Sure seems to be the same guy. Looks like he lost weight before the newer car pic.

Then there's the fact that the seller labeled the Opel photo as shot in France http://www.ebay.at/itm/FOTO-2-WK-KFZ-KU ... 33a905eaad while the 2nd photo location was left blank http://www.ebay.at/itm/FOTO-2-WK-KFZ-KU ... 4af047f6b1.

The Bulgarian P 4 Kübelwagen photos I've seen also show differing bodyworks Image Image and the uniforms, facial features and a total lack of moustaches in the boier-antik photo don't strike me as typically Bulgarian WWII military.

OTOH here's a pretty similar Opel Lieferwagen Umbau in WH service: Image

Thank you very much, Markus. No Cyrillic characters on the original photo may also be telling. That being the case the photo might be a little bit rarer, as Holger states:
Kübelwagen based on the Opel P 4 chassis were rarely seen in use by the Wehrmacht but the Bulgarian army procured larger numbers of this type.

Cyrilic "учебень" inscription means this is training / school vehicle.

Here's an interesting photo indeed. A Luftwaffe BMW R 12 with an apparently one legged rider in front of two 1939-40 Ford/DAF PAG-trekkers in the background.
