Looks like a Sherman with the hatches open to me not something that would be likely with enemy infantry a few meter away think its an reenactment photo

Hello AHF, that image with the Sherman tank was among many as WW2 photo. I wasn't exactly sure about it, but decided to post anyway and see what AHF reckoned. I agree, it's a reenactment one.
Francy , lovely pics of that Pz 1V , brilliant cammo work on the vechile and looks like Eastern Front.

thank You very much for posting so many and so interesting pics.
Now some information to the Mercedes truck You posted on 25 Feb 2009. It´s a Mercedes Benz L 4500 ZWF.
ZWF means "Zweiwegefahrzeug"; I will try to translate it in English: two-road-vehicle (road and railroad); produced in 1937 with a 6-cyl. 112 bhp-engine (OM 67/4).

Zweiwegfahrzeug can also mean two-method vehicle instead of two-road vehicle. As the Merc doesn't have railtrackwheels fitted, I think the two-method translation is thge preferred translation. But maybe some of our members with German as their mothertongue, could advise on this translation.

Yes, two-method vehicle is closer to the original intention.

On railtrackwheels for standard vehicles:

I can tell for the VW Type 82 (Kübelwagen) that there was a Rüstsatz (upgrade kit) to make him (schienengängig) railgoing. This kit dates from 1944 (D 1159/3) and consits of railtrack-disks that where fitted on the inside of the roadwheels with some distance-holders to match the railtack gauge. The tires are siting on the track and are keept there by the disks.
Maybe the disks have been removed for prolonged road duty on this merc?
Are this romanians on the front?

This KdF makes me wonder how the rear axle with its swing-axles function on railroad tracks as the track of the car widens and narrowes constantly.

I understand that these stopper wedges limited or even blocked too much vertical movement of the swing axles.
