German drivers training in Italy with Semovente L6 da 47/32 (770(i)). In one picture there is also (I believe) a Semovente M43 105/25 (853(i)). From ebay.

I always believed that the only difference was the front axle assembly so without seeing that you can't. Of course these being none armoured things I am often mistaken.

Re: Captured Italian Vehicles in German Service
As seen from the front, in the WWII photos I've witnessed the 430 Militare had a split bumper (solid post-war) and the lowest bar of the bush guard in front of the radiator grille was noticeably higher than the grille bottom while the 800 Militare had a solid bumper and the lowest bar about level with grille bottom.Sturm78 wrote:How is posible differenciate between both models?Bert wrote

Hi Markus,
thank You very much for Your excellent declaration how to differentiate the two types of Alfa Romeo trucks.
Here pics of these trucks out of the book "Historic Military Vehicles Directory" by Bart Vanderveen.

Re: Captured Italian Vehicles in German Service
Hi Bert,
And thanks for the pics. Especially the 430 RE is interesting since the bumper is neither the two-piece split type I've seen e.g. at http://farm8.static.flickr.com/7143/679 ... c26b97.jpg nor the simple post-war solid bumper http://www.trucksplanet.com/photo/alfa_ ... _13759.jpg
Regards,
Markus

Re: Captured Italian Vehicles in German Service
I am reliably informed that it is a protype made by Fiat, based upon their TL37 but intended to tow the 47mm gun or the 20mm AA gun. The green paint job in the picture looks post-war to me, I'm also told the registration number is post-war.

Re: Captured Italian Vehicles in German Service
My "Italian Expert" tells me that while he doesn't know why they didn't produce it, the protype sat in the factory from 1938 to 1950 !
