Re: Vehicles of the Axis fire brigades
Helo George,
...realy great pics .
on the first photo, the smaller left one is a LLG- "Leichtes Lösch Gruppen"-Fahrzeug (later called LF8) on a MB L1500S I cant id the body factory. The both bigger one are GLG "Großes Lösch Gruppen" Fahrzeug (later LF25) on MB L4500 but the body makers are different. The middle truckbody was built by Metz and the right one by Magirus. There are some different details, The roof of the cab and the windscreen.
In the folowing pics we find the company sign of Metz on the body sites.
Is this auction still open? Is it possible that you told us /me the URL?
all pics looked for me like a training unit of the fire squad
Is there any one who id the WL unit sign of the back site?
best regards
Henning

Re: Vehicles of the Axis fire brigades
Hi Sturm,
wehre do you found this item in E-bay? its interessting for me!
The first bigger one is a KS25 on Magirus M145 the body was built by Magirus too.
The smaller one is a KzS8 with the trailer pump TSA.
Between the trees we see more fire service trucks. For me it looks like a feuerlösch Regiment or a unit of the SHD.
That are units of the WL for protected the big citys or important military factorys
In this time the fire protection was in "2 Hands" one site the Feuerlöschpolizei units under the comand of the police and SHD/WL units under the comand of Göring
best regards
Henning

Re: Vehicles of the Axis fire brigades
Hello George , all
very clear pics! Its a KS 25 , the body and also the frame is Magirus.
The year of building is 1935/36, the important detail herefor is the company sign on the radiator. this "thin" Ulmer Münster was only used in 35 and 36.
best regards
Henning

Re: Vehicles of the Axis fire brigades
Hi Bertram
In all my Fireservice sources I read about early KS25 on Magirus M45 and later on L145 frame.
I dont know if there are outsite details between M45 and M50, so for me its the M45.
best regards
Henning
