Re: Vehicles of the Axis fire brigades
Hello all
its a very long time ago we found new pictures for this topic
Yeasterday I found on E-bay a new pic about a Henchel Ts 2,5 on rails. I think its one of the early combination Metz/Henschel because I see the ladders on the right tanksite only on Metz vehicles.
best regards
Henning

Re: Vehicles of the Axis fire brigades
Hi George
Your first pic is a great and rare found Like my opinion it shows a Kfz 94, it was used for transport and heat up water, for decontamination. It was used from the "Nebeltruppe"- smoke units. A fighting unit and not a fire service unit.
Very interessting is the truck in combination with a decontamination tent
some more infos on Holgers site:

Great George

Re: Vehicles of the Axis fire brigades
Hi all,
here a pic with French vehicles (captured or not, I cannot say). I assume the first vehicle is a Laffly BSR or a Hotchkiss 486 PL - thanks to Andrej (Hans 1942) for the help to ID this vehicle. Source of the pic: Bundesarchiv 1942.
