sorry for my late answer, but I was away and then I was ill. To the question about the pontoon trailer (posted 28th August). It is a captured Czechoslavakian pontoon trailer, used by the Wehrmacht under the designation Brückengerät "T" (bridging equipment "T"). "T" is the abbreviation for the German word Tschechoslowakei.
Thank you very much, Bert

Regards Sturm78

A lower case t is the German for , if the T is upper case then it means something else.

Hi,
(Still following this thread because of the 9-tonners.)

Basically, Alan, you are right when tschechoslowakisch was used as an adjective. However, the bridging columns were indicated by names (types) and so were nouns, which are capitalized, (i.e. with upper case letters). Brückenkolonne C, Brückenkolonne K, Brückenkolonne T, etc.

Hi Sturm

like my opinion its a SdAh 53, he get the spare tire in front and the store boxes right /left open in front.

The SdAh 54 get no spare tire and open the boxes by site. And the 54 get no holder for the spare tire.

best regards

Henning

An unusual photo of a Luftwaffe B-N Kfz. 76/77 towing what looks like a "captured British Winchester caravan" like that shown on Holger's site at http://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/Homepage_ ... ilers.html

I'm returning to the pontoon trailer (Brückengerät T):

No rule without exception! Usually (t) stands for tschechisch and not 'T'. But in this case (according to Waffenarsenal S-41, page 6), the large 'T' actually means tschechisch.
