George
Your #581 looks like a Magirus O 145:
#587 could be a Magirus M40:

Re: Bus/Omnibuss Photos
Anyone for these two? My guess is a Mercedes type L 64 (Lo 3500?) for the Luftfeldpost bus at left and possibly a Krupp O3 variant on the right (is that an ambulance?).

Hi Max,
to Your questions:
the bus of the Luftfeldpost sems to be a Mercedes Benz type O 3750, a former bus of the Reichspost.
On the right is a Magirus L 145 Gepäckwagen of the German Reichspost (source of the pic: "Das Lastwagen-Album Maggirus" by Bernd Regenberg.

Re: Bus/Omnibuss Photos
Thank you, Bert. According to Holger's site the Lo 3500, O 3750, and Lo 3750 were all part of the same L64 series. I have trouble telling the difference. Below is an Lo 3750, there is a slight difference in the cab above the windshield. The other is definitely your Magirus! What is the triangle on the roof? I've seen it on ambulances before.
Cheers,
Max

Re: Bus/Omnibuss Photos
Hi Max,
excuse me, please, for my late answer. I´m still thinking that the bus is a Mercedes Benz type O 3750, a former bus of the Reichspost. Here a pic of this type out of the book "Mercedes Benz Lastwagen und Omnibusse" by Werner Oswald.
To Your other question: the triangle on the roof is for signalling that the truck (as a rule) is pulling a trailer. Here two pics: one with the triangle up, the other down.
Regards
Bert

Re: Bus/Omnibuss Photos
Anyone for this 3 axle Reichspost bus? From the front fenders I would venture either Henschel or Magirus but I don't really know.
Cheers,
Max

Re: Bus/Omnibuss Photos
Excellent, Piotr!
Thanks to your tip I found this VOMAG bus based on the 88 Flak truck chassis. It's a little longer but otherwise almost identical in detail. Thank you so much.

Hi Max, hi Piotr!
A really great pic of a VOMAG type 7 OR 660. Thanks for posting. But I´m rather sure, that on Your pic is not a VOMAG bus. Have a look on the two rear wheels. A Büssing-NAG bus better fits I think. So it could be the type 801, 802 or 900. But from this angle of vision I cannot say which type it is. And I have no pic of these busses.
Here a pic from a Büssing-NAG truck type 802 N for comparing (source of the pic: Das Lastwagen-Album Büssing" by Bernd Regenburg).
