German vehicles and "Rasputitsa"

Discussions on the vehicles used by the Axis forces.
Long-time forum member Ron Klages (1939 - 2007) generously shared his knowledge and the results of his impressive research with the forum, and this section has therefore been renamed in his honour.

I'm not trying to be picky here, it is a pretty bad photo, but I think your car is a 1939 Oldsmobile, not a Chev.

Note the heavy horizontal bars on the grille, the placement of the headlamps "in" the fender instead of "on" the fender and the slightly more angular look to the windscreen which is also a bit wider than a Chev.

Interesting! Possibly an Opel manufactured 'derived design'? Opel manufactored a lot of GM in house adapted designs..

Interesting photo of an OPEL Maultier.

I think its the first I have seen actually on active service rather than photos of prototypes. I was begining to think that only Italeri made them in 1/35 scale and not the Germans!
