Re: Interesting Panther tank photos-help ID
More photos with Panthers whose unit I do not know.
1st photo-This could be a captured Panther. Not sure.
2nd photo-Fall 1944 shot in the west, I believe.
3rd photo-movie still from Normandy. Could be a SS Pz Rgt 2 Panther-no firm ID on this one.
Any ideas? Speculation?
All the best,
Arthur.

Re: Interesting Panther tank photos-help ID
This is a set of Ausf Gs going through some kind of maintenance with a crane.
I see a "7" on one of the backs of the turrets. It is a Heer Panther, so it could be II Pz Rgt 33, or II Pz Rgt 23.
The buildings look western european, so this could be France.
Any thoughts?
Arthur.

1st photo-no idea on this unit. Looks liek Russia.
2nd photo-Another unit, but again a crane.
3rd photo--1 More of the same set posted in the previous post-just want to get all the pictures in. Might have posted 1 or 2 of these before-my apologies.

Re: Interesting Panther tank photos-help ID
More photos that could use some captions.
1st photo-"301"-this profile is labelled "unit unknown".
2nd photo-A colourised photo of an Ausf D with very crude zimmerit. This could be a SS Das Reich Panther autumn 1943.
3rd photo-the mystery of Panthers 435 and 438. This is winter 43/44, but which unit?

Re: Interesting Panther tank photos-help ID
More mystery Panthers. No idea of the units involved.
The first shot is supposedly Czechoslovakia in 1945.
The last 2 shots are from the new "Endkampf" book which I have not yet bought.

Re: Interesting Panther tank photos-help ID
More photos.
3 more unknowns.
1st-a colour profile of the previously posted A12, A11 Panthers. Looks like it had zimmerit, which was unknown to me before.
2nd-2 Ausf As with grenadiers, eastern front-which unit?
3rd photo-impossible to ID, I know, but someone might know something.

Another of the crew congratulations 2 posts ago.
Another shot of "438" of the 438-435 mystery Panthers from a different angle.

Re: Interesting Panther tank photos-help ID
These 3 are re-posts of pics I posted badly-warped, rotated-before I got a bit better at posting. Here they are fixed somewhat.
Again, no idea as to the units.

Re: Interesting Panther tank photos-help ID
Another RE-POST fix-up this was originally 1 shot, and now I have cropped it to 3.
This is a gasoline drum loaded Panther winter 43-44. This could be I Pz Rgt 2, but not sure.
