I found the following pic in the web. Is it a Beobachtungswagen?

Thx for yr feedback

Could this be an Artillery Flash/Sound Ranging vehicle? It does look like a Pz.Bf.Wg. on an Ausf G/H chassis. It also has the Zusatzpanzer (spaced armor). Since the Pz.Boeb.Wg. III didn't start production until 1943, could this be an earlier conversion based on a Pz.Bf.Wg. III? Any further info would be appreciated. Also of note are the two types of spare track links mounted on the hull front plate....track links with open and solid guide horns.

Hi,

here an interesting pic of a Pz Kpfw III. I´m no expert in tanks, but my question is: are they testing a swimming (amphibien) version or the fording ability of a Pz Kpfw III? (source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).

Regards

Bert
