66. Panzerabteilung in Eisenach
These are tanks of the 66. Panzerabteilung of the 2. leichte Division.
There were only four truck-borne tank battalions before the war, namely the 33. (4. lei Div), 65. (1. lei Div), 66. (2. lei Div), and 67. Panzerabteilung (3. lei Div). Of these, only the 2. leichte Division was stationed in Eisenach (WK IX) before the war. The 2. Panzerregiment (1. Panzerdivision), also stationed in Eisenach, was not truck borne.
Cheers
Leo

Hi,
A new pic from EBay.
It shows a Pz III with the marking of "100" after the return from the Czechoslovakia invasion on a parade on October 16th, 1938 in Eisenach.

Re: The PR 2 in Eisenach
Hello to all ; a little complement...................
A Panzer-Regiment of the 1st Panzer Division moves into the new Panzer Kaserne at Eisenach.
The Panzer Regiment 2 was set up in October 1935 within the framework of the 1. Panzer-Division. The Kraftfahrlehr-Kommando set on the I. Battalion of the Panzer Regiment. The II. Battalion received its staff mainly from the 2. Kraftfahr-Abteilung 4, Magdeburg, and the Reiter-Regiment 7(Demmin).
On Oct 20, 1935 took place the solemn entry of the newly organized PR 2 into the new garrison town of Eisenach, with the I. Battalion under Major Keltsch and the II. Battalion under Major Voigt. The same day Oberstleutnant von Prittwitz und Gaffron took over the command of the newly formed regiment. Only ten days after that arrived the first recruits. They came from Saxony and Thuringia for the I. Abteilung and from Silesia for the II. Abteilung.
