Re: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht
Allo Kerry,
You should know this, being from France! I'm pretty sure it is a 1939ish 100cc Motobecane twostroke, they were used a lot by the German forces, especially in occupied France.
What is the truck in the background??
Cheers, don't expect anymore answers from me for a couple of days, have to go to Toulouse, to buy some (modern) bikes.

Hi Lex,
Fantastic, thank you. I had not considered a French 'bike, well spotted.
Best regards, and I hope you have a successful trip,
Kerry.

Re: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht
OK, no probs, a lot of French bikes can be identified by the single headlamp mount, at the bottom, as far as I know no other countries used this.

Re: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht
Hi there, clearly a Gillet AB720, but difficult to see if it was one for the French army, or built for the German army, it's not the Belgian version, as those had a different sidecar.
Hope this helps,

Thank you welbike..
Re: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht
Hi Alif, hi Lex,
for me the motorcycles look more like Zündapp type K 800. They have a less voluminous tank.
Regards
Bert

Thanks,
Lex
