Hi Sturm 78,

here my comment to the motorcycles You posted:
pic 1: I agree with You, Zündapp K 800 W
pic 2: Zündapp KS 600 W
pic 3: a very interesting pic: I think it is a special modification of a BMW R 12 with high exhaust pipes special for off-road races through mud and water. I couldn´t find a pic of a BMW, but of NSU type 501 with such high exhaust pipes (up the normal version with low exhaust pipes).

Regards

Bert

Hi Sturm 78,

sorry, I totally forgot to answer to Your last question: You are right, it is a Zündapp K 500 W.

On Your new pic is a Puch type 350 GS. Here a pic of such a motorcycle (source of the pic: http://www.motorstown.com/imgs/23411-puch-350-5.html).

Hello Bert,

Not a 340D, but a 340 CAV. These bikes had been delivered to the French Army just before the war started, most of them were captured by the German Army.

Cheers,

Hi Jan,

thank You very much for the correction. I took the designation out of the book "L´automobiles sous l´uniforme" by Francois Vauvillier.

In your photograph of the DKW NZ 250, Bert, how unusual is the 14/IR 304 plate bolted to the numberplate?

Hi John,

that´s absolutely unusual and bolted only for a very short time.

Hi Alif!

Sorry, I totally forgot to answer to Your question. Here my ID:
On the left side are two Triumph type S 350, on the right a Zündapp type K 800 W.

Regards

Bert
