Re: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht
Hello, seems to be a 250cc Moto-Guzzi PE 250, built from 1935. Or another of the small one-cylinder types Moto-Guzzi built in the thirties. But a maximum of details in the photo match the M-G PE 250.

Re: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht
Hello,
These are late thirties (1938 - 1939) PUCH 350 GS motorcycles. 14 PS (HP) with combined hand- and footshift. The typical curved and protected exhaust pipe is a giveaway!

GILLET 720 - mistaken identity
Hello!
In ebay are actually some interesting motorcycle pics for sale. Unfortunately the seller misidentified them and sells them as in the category "Beutekrad" as: "Foto Wehrmacht Frankreich Belgien Beute Motorrad Krad Gnome rhone combat !!"
NO.... these are beautiful and rare pics of a BELGIAN GILLET 720(vertical twin two-stroke) military motorcycle coupled to a "Bernadette" military sidecar (also used for the FN M 12 and the Saroléa 1000 military). On a couple of these pics, the BELGIAN Army license plate (1685) still is attached to the front fender.
Many of these GILLET 720's (built for the French Army but not delivered) fell into German hands as can be seen here.
Great photographs of a very rare machine!!!!

I'm not sure about these:
Left: DKW SB 300 or 350?
Right: DKW NZ 250 or 350?

Re: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht - Indian Model 340 "CAV"
Hi!
Another textbook example of a captured Indian 74 Model 340 (the so-called "CAV") from the French Army. The machine is brand new, just out of its transportation crate and still bears the French Army registration number: M 77...). Typical is the mixing of different tires: the one on the sparewheel differs from the ones mounted on the machine. This was due to the packing of machines and wheels in different crates. This Model 340 has it all: its original horn, ignition button, fresh glossy green US Army paint etc. A beauty... still under warranty...
The new owners take a spin on their brand new Indian... a bit overloaded with an MG-34, ammo crate and a fine crew... Watch out for the bipod of the MG... it will make scratches on the sidecar body paint...
