i am particularly interested in the captured halftracks, why is there no step on their rightside and what types are these exactly ?
(btw if you know about the types of US trucks amongst the M8`s)

The half-tracks are mittlere Schützenpanzerwagen (Sd Kfz 251) Ausf. D (medium armored personal carrier). Mounting and dismounting was done through doors in the rear, or over the top for combat dismounting. You can see the doors on this photograph:

I think the truck with the visible .50 cal machine gun is a GMC 6x6, though trucks are not my area of expertise.

Hi Guys:

The truck with the uncovered machine gun is for sure a GMC 2 1/2 ton 6X6.

The closer truck is, in my opinion, a Dodge 1 1/2 ton 6X6 with a very rare for that model pedestal mount for the machine gun.
The front wheel that we can see is typically Dodge as is the general outline of the front fender/mudguard.
