I am trying to find information on the personnel that would staff a single field kitchen.
If I understand correctly there was a driver for the limber and a cook. Would that usually be the only two troops assigned to one field kitchen?
What rank(s) would the cook normally hold?
Did the driver or any other troops assist the cook in his duties?
I can find plenty of info about the physical field kitchen itself but not much about the troops that manned it.
Thanks for any help.

Rank of Field Kitchen personnel?
Re: Rank of Field Kitchen personnel?
The KStN for a Schützenkompanie from 1939-1941 show two cooks and a driver ("vom Bock", i.e. riding on the coach box) for the two-horse field kitchen, all Mannschaften. The KStN from 1943 show also two cooks and a driver, but now one cook is an Unteroffizier (this is also the case for a motorized Schützenkompanie with a truck mounted kitchen). If the KStN includes a four-horse field kitchen, an additional driver is added ("vom Sattel", i.e. riding in the saddles of the lead horses).
There are times in history when staying neutral means taking sides.

Thank you very much, that is great information, just what I wanted to know.
