Hi,

here another Umbauwagen. This time I think a captured Chevrolet 1939 (source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).

Regards

More postwar fun.

Here, a Horch 853 left over in Czechoslovakia was converted into a fire truck by a local fire department.
Very nice job at that.

I found these photos today.

Before and after Horch private cars converted by Fleischer into pickups.

Very cool Bill. Do you know if he used any types other than the 830 BL?

Hi Max:

No, sadly, this was just a post on a coachbuilding site. 2 photos, no more.

However, I seem to remember some other similar postings over the years and I will try to go back and see if I can get more information.

kerryboo wrote:Back on page one of the thread Bill posted a photo of a Gaz(?) cabrio. I recently got these two photos, which I think are somewhat similar. I am not sure if both represent the same car, but one had at least one hubcap and a folded roof.
What do you think?
Kerry.

Hi shamirnewell,
Thank you for that, I suspect that you are correct. There is, however, a great difference in the wheels, but they could very well have been replaced in service. My other reservation is the single rear wheel on mine and the twin arrangement on the new photo. There are also differences in body mouldings etc, but perhaps this is down to development of the model, or a slight variation in the model type. I was convinced, because of the Ford/Gaz style wheels, that it was a Soviet vehicle, I had not thought of early German production.
many thanks for the help with this,
Regards,
Kerry.
