Here another complement: two drawings fof the Ladungslager I, the elder and the newer version by R. Rössle (source: Waffen-Arsenal Band 68: "Deutsche Spezialpanzer (I)".

Concerning the version with the arms over the rear of the tank, several written sources say that these arms were telescopic. This may have been the original intention, but the photographs of the vehicle in service appear to show that the arms were fixed in length.

An interesting detail is the vertical plate on the rear face of the box for the explosive charge - the plate is slightly larger than the box itself. I reckon that this is armour plate, intended to protect the explosive charge during the approach to the target. The weight of the armour plate, the box and the explosive charge must have been enormous, hence the stayed steel rope taking some of the load off the arms.

There seems to be a separate cable to open the latch holding closed the bottom doors of the box.
