Re: destroyed and battle damaged AFV photos
It doesn't really look like destroyed or burnt out, rather damaged / disabled / knocked out.

Re: destroyed and battle damaged AFV photos
Call it as you want, I just added the location ...
The whole crew was killed, the hull is partly blown open, the whole bottom left is disabled and the tank was apparently burnt.

Re: destroyed and battle damaged AFV photos
Hello,
Here is a Panzer III knocked out in France in 1940. I think the location might be Boulogne (or very close).
Photo is a compilation of old expired e-bay auctions. If someone feels offended because one of these shots is belonging to him/her, please send me a message and I will remove the photos.
Best regards,
David

Re: destroyed and battle damaged AFV photos
Pz-35(t) from 1./Pz.Abt.65 (commander: Hptm. von Kriegsheim) destroyed during the failed German counterattack against Polish cavalry which captured Sierakow, in the morning on 19 IX. We can see both penetration by 75mm, as well as 20mm (tankettes from 71. dywizjon pancerny from Wielkopolska BK) and 37mm. Von Kriegsheim was KIA during that combat and many tanks from his company as well as some from Pz.Rgt.11 were disabled:

Re: destroyed and battle damaged AFV photos
Hello Carius,
The PzIII with the gun shield and front turret blown seems somewhat familiar to me. I could be wrong but I wonder if the photo was not been taken in 1940 in Belgium or France in 1940.
The PzII might perhaps have been destroyed in Poland.
Please find enclosed 2 more wrecks/damaged tanks (PzIII and PzIV) from my collection. They are supposedly in France in 1940 but I could not find more details so far.
Best regards,
David

Re: destroyed and battle damaged AFV photos
Hello,
This is a Panzer IV from Pz.Rgt.35 destroyed in Belgium on May 11 during a skirmish with a French reconnaissance patrol (Panhard 178 armored cars). This tank was hit on the side by a 25mm projectile. The penetration triggered a fire in the German tank and internal explosion.
During the same action, 4 other German tanks were hit:
1x light tank (Panzer I/II) was also put on fire
2x light tanks (Panzer I/II) were knocked out / immobilized
1x Panzer III was simply hit and probably lightly damaged
Regards,
David
