Juha (H), there is a mistake in your upper photo. The right-side text GREIF should be painted only with white outline (without red colour) while the left-side text is red with white outline. I'm not sure if IGEL and ADLER were also painted in a similar way.

This picture seems to be the painted version of the photo which is seen in my first link page.

Yeah Harri,so it seems.The painting is done by Uwe Feist and its in the cover of Halbkettenfahrzeuge.German halftrack Vehicles from 1968.Found it from second hand store for 5€ 8)

Some of the colour photos were originally b & w photos coloured afterwards. I think it is a well enough know fact that Rommel's vehicle had different markings on the opposite sides of the vehicle.

If you look at the same photo in b & w (my first link) you can notice that the outlined letters were painted over the original camouflage painting which is clearly seen. There is no other colour inside the letters in that photo. So I wouldn't take that colour photo too seriously. It is not genuine.

I agree with your statement, just thought I'd contribute. If it is colored afterwards, the guy doing it must've had some skill. The only thing I can put apart as fake are the uniforms. The desert surface is flawless.
