► Soft Skinned Vehicles
Re: Soft Skin Vehicle Photo Repository
Just a suggestion, as I do not recognise the vehicles involved, but the camouflage schemes do have a French look about them. The headwear is all of the M38 type, unfortunately the scan is too small to comment on the uniform further.

Re: Soft Skin Vehicle Photo Repository
Hi Guys:
I am really out of my element here as I know next to nothing about cammo, uniforms or buildings but I can add a few words.
Given the poor composition of the photos, I can only say that several of the trucks seem to be of the
Ford G917T variety (1939/1941) and most seem to be the earlier "rounded fender/mudguard" versions.
Further, I have not seen that camouflage pattern on the Russian front before but that may mean nothing.
On the other hand, all of the vehicles seem to be in very, very good condition, with all their kit and no damage.
If Russia, it could mean at a very early stage of the Summer campaign.
Just some thoughts.
Bill

Re: Soft Skin Vehicle Photo Repository
Thanks to Bill's identification of the truck types it is clear that they are not ex-French, so please disregard my earlier suggestion,

A Steyr Type 55 "Baby" on fire, but the lack of steel helmets being worn would suggest an accident rather than enemy action,
