DAF M39
Two Dutch DAF M39 with German troops. Looking at the buildings in the back, I would say it's somewhere in Holland. From ebay.

Nice picture MJC.
To Sander: that's what I've found on a different forum (I believe Czech) who took it from ebay.

Re: Info about the DAF M39 ???
The building on background of two Dutch pantserwagens M. 39 with German troops is the combined kitchen/bathing building on one of the barracks that were build in Holland during the second half of the thirties for so called frontier batallions. My educated guess would be the location is in the province of North Brabant.
Wish I hade seen this very interesting photo before finishing my book on the pantserwagen M. 39 as it shows new light on ane unanswered question, that reamained.

Re: Info about the DAF M39 ???
Hello Jon Bom. What is the book you've written? You made me quite interested.
Re: Info about the DAF M39 ???
Hello Franzl,
My book is titled "DAF pantserwagens voor de regimenten huzaren" (DAF armoured cars for the hussar regiments) and handles about the development, production and use of the pantserwagen M. 39. The book (168 pages, soft cover) is published by the Dutch Cavalry Museum at Amersfoort and will appear in the second half of april 2008.
Greetings,
John

Re: Info about the DAF M39 ???
Hello John. Thanks for your info. Next week I will be visiting the museum. I just was looking on ebay and found surprisingly a second picture of the DAF M39 on the yard of a barracks, on which you commented. Fortunately the comment of the taker of the picture was also visable and said that it was taken in Roosendaal. Have a look. It is currently on ebay with the seller Auction-factory.de.
