Hi John,
It is an unusual car, never accepted for military use, but a number were requisitioned. It is a rear-engined Mercedes 170H.

John,
This may help to get a better overall impression of the car, although yours is a cabrio-limousine, not a limousine as here.

Kerry beat me to it by seconds, John, but here is a fairly clear shot of a restored 170H.

Kerry, Bill, many thanks. I would never have guessed it was a Mercedes...

Hello Dave,

Your last tractor is a Hanomag, either an SS100 or ST100, but I would say it looks more like the SS cab.

What do you think: Wanderer 23 and Horch 853?

Hi Dave,
Referring to the picposted on 25 Feb. I'll go along with the Wnderer W23 but I'm still not sure about the Horch model. To me it doesn't look sleek enough for an 853 maybe that's just because of the body style.

Max

Thanks Max. Wishful thinking on my part about the Horch- I do love that model though.

HelloDave,
Don't get me wrong, you may be correct. It's just that I have never seen an 853 with that particular body style. I'm sure someone else here has the answer though.
Cheers,
Max
