Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hey Guys!
I just bought a german photo album on ebay, and I am wondering about the ID of this tank. I am yet to get the album in the mail, but I took this off the listing.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
It's a French Renault R-35 aka Pz.Kpfw. 731(f).

Hi Mr.Peanut:
I know little about armour, but I believe your tank is this one.
Edit: Sorry, the manufacturer was Hotchkiss.

The French used Playing Card symbols for their company type markings. Alan

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello,
I need help with this Berliet Lorry. It looks very similar to the Berliet VFSD. But it had other rims with 8 rim bolts (VFSD=6). The platform looks a bit larger. What do you think?
Regards, Holger.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello! Could someone please identify the car on the picture?! The photo was taken in Yugoslavia in April 1941.

Could this be a Ford?

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Befehl227,
it is not a Ford. It looks more like a 1929/30 Chevrolet. The asymmetric arranged ventilation louvres are typical for Chevrolet.

Daumen hoch! It´s a Chevrolet! Unfortunately I don´t know the exact model/type (maybe a Sedan)...but it´s a good start! Thank you!barbarossa28 wrote:Hello Befehl227,

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Stefan:
Your vehicle is a 1929 Chevrolet 1/2 tonner model AC.
Most likely supplied to Germany as a chassis/cowl and bodied locally.
Very rare in Europe.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hey all,
what kind of Finnish staff car is this? My educated guess is something GM or Chrysler.

Hi Chris:
Your car is a 1938 Chevrolet Master Deluxe probably impressed from the Finnish private car park.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Bill,
Thanks, I had a feeling it was some sort of Chevy but since my experience on identifying WW2 and pre-WW2 American cars is virtually nil I didn't want to risk making a wrong educated guess.
Thanks,
Chris

This is a cool photo - there is chalk writing on the wall. Anyone have guesses as to the type of car?
