Hi,

can anybody of You ID this special bus. I think it cannot be a German one. Maybe it is French or Belgian bus. Thanks in advance for any reply (source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).

Regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
This Kromhout omnibus with a superstructure of the company SDS was used by a unit of the Luftwaffe. The exact type remains unclear.

Hi Sturm78

Very nice picture to start with.

If I am reading my copy of Panzer Tracts No.22-2 correctly it is an Sd.Kfz.11/3, or it's full description according to the book, "Mittlerer Spruhkraftwagen (Sd.Kfz.11/3) mit Fahrgestell des le.Zgkw 3t".

Hello Granatwerfer,

If you refer to PT 22-2 you should have seen that the illustated vehicle is a mittlerer Entgiftungskraftwagen (Sd.Kfz 11/2) and not a Sd.Kfz. 11/3. The Sd.Kfz. 11/3 had a different box behind the driver's cab in the 1938 version and a closed "hard top" driver's cab in the 1939 version.

Regards,

Holger.

I've seen this nose before, but I can't find it. Who can tell near what car they're serving the champagne...
