Vehicle identity requests
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thank you Bill, and point taken. I am not paranoid, but with a personal collection I think it prudent to take some precautions. I have reframed, and will bear your advice in mind in future. Here is a re-frame, I think you already have it, but a little more cannot hurt.
Best regards,
Kerry.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Kerry:
Thanks and I do hope you understand I was not meaning to bitch, just make it easier while still allowing you to protect your collection.
Regarding your car, a second look indicates a 1935 model. The two years 1935-6 were almost identical in looks but the 1935 had the neat little wing/fender mounted lamps which the 1936 model did not have. I just missed this item but saw it this morning.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
I added some data about me and a footnote. Piet is one of the oldest first names in the Netherlands, and disapearing. If you pronounce Pete in English you get it about right pronounced as the Dutch would.
And thanks for posting such magnificent pictures.....

Re: Vehicle identity requests
A superb photograph of the Slovaks' LT40, due to a shortage of main guns they were used as command tanks in Barbarossa.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
These are also Czech tanks, I believe, and also do not appear to have a main gun. Please can somebody throw some light on the what and why of them?
Many thanks,
Kerry.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Can't see any MGs in their mantlets either. Training use of pre-Ausf. E tanks with just 25 mm frontal armour?

From the same small photo group, I take them to be 38(t)s.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thank you Markus, they are a mystery to me. This very fuzzy crop, from the same lot, does have a co-axial MG.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Bert,
A wonderful pic of a Delahaye Type 135 Coupe des Alpes Roadster, ca.1937 or 38 "donated" to the Heer by a Frenchman. Many had custom coachwork so were slightly different in detail as seen below. They were beautiful cars.
1937, coachwork by Chapron: 1938, coachwork by Tuscher:
