Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Andrej:
1. Chevrolet 1939
2. Ford 1939 Deluxe or 1940 Standard, a bit hard to tell the difference.
3. Horch probably a gift from the German authorities.
4/ A Mercedes which I imagine is the one given to Marshall Mannerheim.
5. Another mystery for the moment.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Hans,
Just to piggy back on Bill's id's I believe the #3 Horch is a Type 951A "Pullman" limousine (ca. 1937).
I wonder if anyone can identify the passengers?
RE: #4 Mannerheim's Mercedes 770K cabriolet (SA 1), I came across this which may be of interest:

RE: #4 Mannerheim's Mercedes 770K cabriolet (SA 1), I came across this which may be of interest:
http://www.webkits.com.br/news/template ... &zoneid=30 (google translation from Portuguese)In December 1941 the Marshal Mannerheim, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces of Finland, was presented with Hitler one Mercedes-Benz 770K Cabriolet W150 F armored Offener Tourenwagen. By that given the car was a favorite of Mannerheim and was used often, despite the high excise fuel (27 liters per 100 km run) that was imported from Germany specifically for the car. After Mannerheim's election in 1944 to the presidency and the subsequent rupture of Finland with the Axis, the car is no longer used being replaced by a Packard Limousine 1939 as a way to demo the change in Finland position relative to the axis . With the government Mannerheim output in 1946, the exorbitant cost of car maintenance associated with politically undesirable reminder of the bond of Finland with Hitler's Germany that this brought, took the Finnish government to sell it to a particular Sweden. In subsequent years the car changed hands several times in Sweden to be used as payment of a debt to a US company. In the mid 70s the car reached notoriety to be sold for an exorbitant sum at an auction in Arizona as one of Hitler's cars. Despite the Finnish media have alerted the agencies of North American news about the hoax, the case was hushed up and the car was again sold sometimes by absurd values.
Cheers,
Max

3. Chevrolet 1938
4. Plymouth 1939 7 passenger sedan.
5. I am not sure but it resembles a standard medium cross country car perhaps a Horch.
