Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Andrey:
For your last 5...........
1&2: I am not sure yet what they are. Hopefully someone else will know.
3. I make this an Adler Diplomat for the moment. Based on the shape of the grille which you can barely see.
4. Ford, 1937. Looks like the US version to me.
5. Chevrolet, 1938. The 1937 was almost identical but had a plain front and rear bumper without the separation.
Your photo may show the Imperial version, a taxi/limousine/hire car 7 passenger vehicle.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Well Markus, you have caught me out on the DKW.
I was going in that direction, but my now 75 year old memory cells don't function quite as well as they used to.
It does not come up on Google Translate, but, I think I qualify for the term "Dummerklumpen" today.

Hi Bill & Andrey,Bill Murray wrote:Hi Andrey:
Before I go to the latest group, some thoughts on the one before it.
1. Steyr 100. I agree and thanks for the photo. The only lieferwagen photo I have seen on this Steyr chassis.
2. I believe it is a Renault also. Could be a light truck or a passenger car umbau. I have posted a photo of a small Renault truck, not your model, for purposes of showing similar ID clues.
3. A DKW F5. Photo below.
4. I think this is a Renault and have posted a photo below. Again, not your exact vehicle but you can see several ID clues, especially the shape of the door and mudguards.
5. Definitely a Horch 8. I have posted a front view of such a car below.
Bill
I think you are probably correct that #4 is a Renault. I'm trying to pinpoint the precise model, and the quatre series look quite similar, but the Primaquatre has front quarter vent windows like in Andreys photo so I think this may be it, possibily with some slight differences due to model year..

Hi Dave,
Your cabriolet looks like a Wanderer 240: I believe you're correct on the next two, the third is too small for me to tell.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Andrey,
I think the rear-end in photo 3 above is a large Steyr, perhaps model 530 or 630,
Kerry.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Andrey:
Regarding your list of 5 photos on March 20, I have the following observations.
1. We have seen this car before but after a lot of searching on the Forum I could not find it nor an identification.
I am probably wrong, but to me it looks English in spite of the LHD. Further, it has not been militarized in any way other than the registration plate and what looks like a unit sign on the left front mudguard. I have seen this type of photo in "safe" areas such as the Channel Islands and Denmark where vehicles did not need to be safe from attack. Either place may be the location for this photo.
The major identity clue on this one is the handles for the ventilitation louvers on the side of the motor hood.
2. Again, no positive identification from me. The photo could have been taken in Spain or Bulgaria based on the marking on the JU 88. My guess would be Spain. The styling of the vehicle is American but Fiat also made large sedans that looked very similar.
3. I would make this one a Delage probably a D8. This, based on the chromium "sweep spear" on the door and rear of the body. This was done on many, many Delage cars by several coach builders in the late 1930s.
4. I have no idea for the moment.
5. Also a blank for the moment.
I will keep looking but maybe my ideas will help someone else solve the riddles.
