Vehicle identity requests
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Bill, Bert and Max,
Thank you for your perseverance with my truck/bus. I note that the wheel form and stud pattern do comfort to the Delahaye 140, but the 103 has more studs. I think that we may be getting very close to identifying this oddity, well done to you all,
Kerry.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Kerry, Bill, and Bert.
I'm sill of the opinion that Kerry's vehicle is a modified bus, but just to throw another iron in the fire here is a Rochet-Schneider truck with what appears to be a similarly curtailed cab:

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thanks again to all of you for trying to solve Kerry's riddle.
While it may well turn out to be a Belgian marque, or even from another country, I am still fixated on a French marque for the moment.
The Citroens did not pass the test, so they are gone. As Kerry points out, the only Delahaye that may make it is a variant of the 140 range.
I am now looking at fire engine photos of Delahayes to see if that brings up something. As well, trying to Google Delahaye enthusiast club forums etc. to get some "not normally seen" photos.
If I find anything, I will post it here.
Bill

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Bill,
You know, a Delahaye fire vehicle of the type below looks to be about the right size for a conversion such as this but I can't imagine a fire vehicle without a door on the left hand side.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Andrey:
I am in too much of a hurry....
It has been for the last several days beautiful spring weather here and my wife is killing me with different jobs to do the spring garden planting.
I believe your #4 is a BMW 326. A photo is seen below.
Cheers
Bill

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Andrey,
A litle late to the party this morning but to me your #5 is a indeed Hansa judging from the large side hinged boot, and the window frames indicate a cabriolet limousine, possibly an 1100 of 1937-38.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Andrey,
I've been trying to match this photo of yours below with the distinctive side moulding, and have finally come up with the possibility of a 1938 De Soto Sedan. I wonder what you and the other members think?
