Hi Luftflotte2:
Much more complete and I thank you!!
It has been gone a while, but you may have captured the entire site as best I remember it.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Bill! Many thanks for identification. This is MAN... Hm... I was confused by Mercedes emblem, see photo. It appears that someone mounted just for decoration?
Best regards,
Alexander

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Alex,
Surely it is MAN ML4500A 4x4 and surely the Merc emblem is there for making it more "sexy" Apparently a question of personal taste of the dirver.' Not surprising at all, note the truck has on its doors Soviet military number! I'm also ready to bet the flag is red.
Talking about personal taste, I like those horns too!
HTH
Cheers!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Guys:
Quite so regarding the Mercedes Star emblem.
I cannot find them, but I have at least 3 other non Mercedes trucks photos in my archives that have the Mercedes engine hood ornament or radiator grille ornament mounted on them.
I can only assume that the drivers preferred the 'cachet" of Mercedes over whatever marque the truck may have been.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Many thanks for comments! This truck is in Russian captivity, this is correct. Note MP.40 on a horn and Wehrmacht belt in wear by driver.

Alexander

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thank you very much, Markus. I had never seen the Type 13 from the rear before.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thank You so much Markus for solving this one.
I had convinced myself that as the photo was taken in Poland and Poland shares a border with Czechoslovakia, it was a Czech vehicle.
So, I was fixated on various Skoda vehicles and decided it was a Skoda Rapid OHV, photos below.
Sadly, the rear views I could find did not match the ID request photo.
Once you solved the puzzle, I found I had over 20 photos of the Hanomag 1.3 liter car in my files but no rear of the car view.
But...you could see the "rib" that ran down the middle of the roof. I just didn't think about that.
Good Job!!!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thanks Bill,
But you know how it is; In the morning I was thinking Ford Taunus but drew a blank and in the evening Hanomag just hit me.

Hi everyone,
I'm coming back to this one posted on the 31st of october. I searched for this one one some time ago and for me it's a Berliet truck of some kind. It looks a lot like a lighter version of the Berliet GDR !

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thank you, ilfil. I was unsure because others I have seen have a more extended cab although the tanks look the same.
Cheers,
