You've got better eyes than mine. But, that would make it interesting. The plate is now at the botom of the grille. Austria was overrun by the nazi's in 1935. That could mean that the one prototype that the Austrian army tested was put to good use bij the Luftwaffe?

Hi Bill, hi Piet,

here another pic of the Austro-Fiat type AFR from the year 1936. 19th February 1938 there were 7 Austro-Fiat type AFR in the Austrian army (pic and information out of the book: "Von Austro-Fiat zur ÖAF-Gräf & Stift AG" by Hans Seper).

Best regards

The MB is a different vehicle, that has it's own ancestory (3th picture is a much older vehicle) and differences in the trackwheels.

I think you have no reasons to worry, it looks quite normal Henschel 33, to me at least.

So fas so good but have anybody here any idea what this dinosaur with Notek in the background is?

Looks somewhat French or Belgian to me. :?
And the whole picture:

Best match I can locate for this truck in the background is a Belgian Minerva. There are distinct similiarities in the cowl, simple fenders and headlight bar. Beyond that I don't know. You can just make out a tank on the back - possibly a water tanker.

Thanks for that, Panzer Drei!
Indeed, the cab definitely reminds Belgian military cabs but I was confused by the "porthole" :? The closest match I was able to find was Miesse 8 but apaprently this one isn't Miesse.
Let it be Minerva then, thanks again!

Hey all,

the third MB with track foto (the one with different track layout) is not an MB, but a Citroën-kegresse postbus made in the factory in Köln.

Jan

And what about the radiator ornament? Do you mean, they've put the kegresse running gear under a MB vehicle?
