Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Dave:
Based on the round wheel arches, I would say it is a Morris Quad. A few other details match as well.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
I could be way off, but I am thinking this is a 1938/9 Mercedes 230.
Below are photos of both a 2 dr and 4 dr cabriolet for reference.
Actually, the 2 door was sold new in Norway so there is a precedent.
Edit: Sorry, the 4 door is a 320 but shows some good ID characteristics.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thanks, Uncle...........
As happens too often nowadays, I was too quick and forgot the 290 series. To me, Mercedes are like Bloody Borgwards, I can hardly tell them apart.
My apologies to Alvis for my incorrect answer to his first post, I will try to go a bit slower next time.

Well, in my absence Bill already gave you the correct answer (it is model C8 and the body is early Mk.II if you care about such details) but I want to thank you for the good picture. I like most the jerrycan rack above the door, apparently a German upgrade.
Cheers!

Hi ilfil, thanks for the additional detailed information. The devil is in the details and much appreciated. Here is another pic

Re: Vehicle identity requests
You're always welcome, Dave.
Thanks again for the second picture, great one! Looks like the FATs are freshly captured and still with the original camo. I have to admit I've never seen before a 25pdr in Caunter scheme!
Cheers!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Dave:
I assume you are asking about the station wagon.
It is a Canadian Ford C11ADF, 1941. Seems to be a beute vehicle.
Photo below.

Does anyone know what this NAAFI / EFI mobile canteen behind Rommel is?
Possibly the same as the second photo?
