Hi Kerry,
For the GAZ-AAA you're right. The body looks DIY, no way to say is it German or Russian upgrade but the Notek is German fitting for sure :)
The truck behind the car could be Opel Blitz 3,5-175 of mid 30s vintage but with radiator shell of later models and front bumper lost. The custom cab also suggest ex-civilian vehicle. If it is Opel at all, of course.
Cheers!

Hi all,

Not the best image I'm afraid, but can anyone ID the truck behind Rommel?

Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave,

for me it is an Italian Ceirano CM 50 workshop truck.

Best regards

Hi all,
I'm not sure what this is :( The wheels reminds me those used on certain Gräf & Stift models but I'm still not sure :(

TIA and have nice weekend!

Looks Magirusy to me; cf. http://kfzderwehrmacht.de/Homepage_engl ... 45-50.html
Odd bonnet louvring though.

Hi Markus,
And thanks a lot!
Silly me. Surely it is Magirus (5-tonner M50 probably), but the wheels are what confused me. And there is a thermometer on the radiator cap, not the Köln cathedral :( Add to this those bonnet sides... However, no excuse for me!
Thanks again and have a nice weekend!

Hi Ilian:

Regarding your ID photo, I found this photo yesterday from an old ebay.de advertisement.

It is described as a 1940 Magirus. The photo is not very good, but I post it as it shows a variant with similar louvers in the side of the motor hood.
No model designation was given. I note also that the wheels are different.

Hi Uncle:

I did a lot of looking for your ID vehicle and the best I could come up with after a few hours on Google is posted below.

It came from a product manual for batteries and shows an AEG führersitzkarren that looks very similar to your vehicle.

I am not saying this is your vehicle, but it looks very close.

Autotypenbuch 1937 would suggest that ilfil's Magirus is a M 40 and Bill's a M 45/50 from around that year.

From the "French equipment" thread:

I think this is Renault SX but I'm not sure. Could be some Berliet. Or Citroen :?
Any thoughts?
TIA and cheers!
